Parking Permit Forms for Staff and Faculty

Attention!  New and Improved Parking Permit Process for Faculty & Staff

Parking Permit Process

Several departments have coordinated efforts to bring you a new and hopefully better process for obtaining staff parking permits.  Please note that you will once again have two options to pay for your parking permit.  1) Payroll Deduction  and  2) One-time payment at Cashier.  In order to implement improved controls over parking permit inventory this year all permits will be picked up at the Police Department.

NOTE:  The best option is the Payroll Deduction option. This option only requires you to make one trip to obtain your permit.  Unfortunately, only full-time benefits eligible employees may choose this option.  The one-time payment at cashier option requires that you visit two locations: 1) Cashier window in Sea Aggie Center and 2) Police Department.

For your convenience we have set up on-line registration forms at the web addresses below.

Supervisors, please assist those employees that do not have e-mail addresses and/or access to a computer.

 For Payroll Deduction go to:

http://mytamug.tamug.edu/parking/parkingdeduct.htm

  1. Complete the on-line form and click the submit button.
  2. This form will be automatically sent to the FMS-Payroll department for processing.
  3. Once processed by Payroll it will be forwarded to the Police Department for processing.
  4. Police will update records, pull your permit and alert you via e-mail that your parking tag is ready to be picked up at the Police Department.
  5. Please note that your submission of this form is your authorization for payroll deduction and you do not need to do anything further until you are notified to pick up your permit.

For One-time Payment at Cashier go to:

http://mytamug.tamug.edu/parking/parkingpayment.htm

  1. Complete the on-line form.
  2. ATTENTION: Before you click submit, print the on-line form and then click the submit button.
  3. An electronic e-mail will be sent to FMS-Cashiering Operation to alert them that you will be making a one-time payment at the Cashier window.  This information will be retained by FMS as a service to you.  FMS-Cashiering Ops will alert you before the end of the grace period that you have NOT paid.  You must still bring your printed form to the Cashier’s window for payment.
  4. Make payment at the Cashier Window and wait for your receipt.
  5. Take your printed form and your receipt to the Police Department.
  6. The Police Department will process your request and issue you a Parking Permit.
  7. Note that the one-time payment process is less convenient than the Payroll Deduction Process.  If at all possible use the Payroll Deduction method.  It will save time and trips for you.

Grace Period for NOT Displaying  Parking Permit

A grace period is extended to all staff members for NOT displaying a current FY hang tag in your vehicle.  This year’s grace period ends on the 10th class day of the Fall Semester.  For all employees opting to pay by one-time payment at the Cashier window and who have completed the on-line registration form, a reminder will be sent to you before the grace period expires.

Please note that this grace period only covers those individuals NOT displaying a current year hang tag.  Any other parking violations will be ticketed under standard parking regulations.
